Great for my son!
Perfect for shorter hair. I use for my son who is 10 and likes for his hair to flip up. It works well at curling the ends up. It is a little hard with stiff bristles but for what we use it for that isn't a issue. It seems to be of good quality and like it will last.

Works. Some static that went away.
The only thing I didn't like was that it did cause some static a couple times. Luckily, while I was continuing to blow dry, the static went away. The metal barrel does help with heating it up so that it helps with the curl (body, not "curls") or straightening. Regarding reviews where they show pictures of it tangled in their hair... clearly they're using the brush wrong. That's not how you use the brush. You do not wrap your hair around this brush like it's a curling iron. You bring it up under the roots and kind of lift while you comb and spin at the same time. You want to curl the hair from the root only about halfway so that your hair kind of makes a horseshoe around the brush. And then as you twist you also pull down from that point (and you don't ever want to twist the brush so much that you lose that horseshoe pattern, or you're going to have a bad time) - so you are not curling your hair. If you want to curl your hair... get a curling iron! Get hot rollers! These brushes are more designed to smooth out frizzy hair and give you a blowout effect. The pulling it while it's curled around the roots gives you more body and lift and that's how you get that blowout effect... using this brush with a hair dryer is sometimes a three hands job... so you either need to really know what you're doing and have a lot of experience doing hair to use this brush for blowing out on your own hair... or you need to get help. Under no circumstances, though, should you be rolling your hair up in this like a curler. These are the results I got with my baby fine, thin hair... without using any product like mousse for extra lift. I had cut my hair the other day and today I needed to add some volume and lift with some layering... so, when I was done cutting it, I tried this brush out just so I could see how well the layering did, therefore it was a rush job just to see how it looked. At the end of the day the brush is really cheap and it gave me the results I needed. Do I think there's better out there? I'm sure there is. But I paid so little I can't have too many complaints. The one star I took away was for the static it caused because I have no doubt that some days the static is going to be worse.

Short hair approved!
I use this high quality, perfectly crafted round brush daily to blow dry my short pixie cut. The round brush help eliminate the need for hot tools when combined with the proper hair products. It is the perfect size, softness, and provides the best grip while using. I have repurchase it time and time again.

Maybe won't work on fine, thin hair.
Conair Metal Round brush. Only $4.00. My hair is very very fine, also I am 75 yers old with not much hair. I tried this bruise to make a curl while growing out my hair, and I somehow got the brush stuck in my hair. I worked on it to get the brush out of my hair, Finally did. This brush and my fine thin hair did not work well together . Other then that I may have to fine something different . Amazon was super understanding about me returning it. They said keep it, no need to return the brush at all, and they gave me a full refund.

Hair doesnโt get stuck and can accommodate quite a chunk of hair and turn smoothly. Best brush ever. Got rid of the few useless ones I bought.
