Positively Tea, Organic Masala Chai Black Tea, Loose Leaf, 16 Ounce

well, i had enjoyed Chai Tea in the past, and had a craving for it. i recall a Green Chai tea i liked in particular.... in my search i found this one, and as the ratings seemed to be fairly high i decided to gamble on it.i will say it wasnt what my taste buds thought they wanted, but ... that being said i brewed it strong... added sugar to the level of my preferred sweetness, and mixed approx 50% with milk... i didnt have half AND HALF... and i enjoyed a cup ... it had a mild flavor that was chai indeed and i could feel the flavor in the palate it was there ever so subtly, as if a temptress in a dream calling me to come hither as she slipped firther from reach.... with the sounds of tabla and sitar droning in the background of this chai induced craving ... it left me wanting to chase the flavor.... so i have brewed several now and i shared with my tea snob daughter, and she liked it too ... so that means 2 thumbs up.i dont like it straight, but mixed with a little sugar and milk.... its a drink that will be enjoyed.NIRVANA..... ommmmmmMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm

I tried to cut off my caffeine input but starting with Chai in the morning. I bought a much more $$ at a boutique shop and became a fan of Chai as my first cup of the day. As I was trying to find a more reasonable option for my newly found morning bev, I came across a few recommendations and landed on this brand/blend. After trying it for a few weeks now, not only is it very close to the boutique option, it is also a pretty good value IMO, and the aroma and flavor is satisfying. It took a couple of tries to get the right amount for my taste as I like my coffee strong. Two full /heaping teaspoons for me is the right amount on a 12oz cup with a bit of 2% dairy is perfect for me. Would recommend to anyone trying out that is willing to give it some time to to work out the right amount to fit taste & strength preference. Full disclosure, this is my first bag and about 1/2 way through it but plan on ordering again and report back if the quality change over time. (Fingers crossed that stays consistent)

The taste of this Chai tea was really off. I think it was because of the artificial flavors added. I'm not really sure what artificial flavors were added. The bag I received said Organic French Vanilla flavor and Organic Cardamom flavor. The Ingredients list on Amazon said "natural cinnamon, ginger and vanilla flavors". I have drank Chai tea for years and this tasted so bad I could not drink it.

Edit: I buy this tea a lot, this latest batch was a little heavy on the cinnamon. It wasn't overwhelming, but it did take away from the usual spice I enjoy so much. Theres plenty of chai thats almost all cinnamon, it would be a pitty if this tea becomes one of them. Ill definitely continue to buy it for now, maybe it was a one off batch.Original: This may be the best Chai Tea I've ever had. It's strong and spicy, the way chai is supposed to be. It's very high in caffeine which I appreciate, but may not be good for others. One cup woke me up, and by the end of my second cup I was buzzing.The Pumpkin Spice flavor was disappointing because there was no actual pumpkin flavor. It was still ok, but it tasted like a run of the mill black tea. I know there are many instances where "Pumpkin Spice" just means cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and cloves, but to me that's false advertising.I'll most certainly be getting the Chai again, but not the Pumpkin Spice. Keeping the 5 star rating because the Chai was that good.

After test a ton of masala chai blends that were either bland or just plain disgusting I found two on Amazon that hit the spot. I will do a separate review for that one.Here’s what you should know: I’m married to an Indian man. We take the chai pretty seriously. Went to the Indian grocery and could not find a brand that matched what I had in India. This one brand was delicious. I prefer a well spiced blend; my son thought the way I blended it was too spicy. I seep it long enough to be very flavorful because I want to taste the spices. You don’t have to do that. But this was an amazing cup of chai. I no longer go to the coffee shop for it. Save time and money plus it is delicious.

I drink a lot of tea and have tried many brands and sources for loose leaf tea. This masala chai is full of flavor and high quality. The blend is great and delicious cup of tea.

I was looking forward to a cozy blend of chai masala spices — cardamom, ginger, cloves — but got a faceful of holiday-scented cinnamon instead.Opening the box felt like sniffing a decorative pinecone, and brewing it only turned the cinnamon up to 11. The black tea is in there somewhere, quietly drowning beneath a tidal wave of cassia.Negatives:- Overwhelming Cassia cinnamon flavor- very small tea leaves, slightly bigger than bagged tea- natural cinnamon, ginger, cinnamon flavoring addedPositives+ If you're looking for cinnamon tea, this is it+ There’s a whisper of black tea in the background, but it’s basically cinnamon’s hostage at this point.

I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. I steep it and add milk when it's done like I do with black tea, experiencing a very pleasant fragrant cup of tea that still seems sweet to me due to the milk and cinnamon (but has about 10% the carbs and calories of traditional chai). Of course you're free to put as many tablespoons of sugar in as you like, but you might find you don't want to!The packaging is a resealable plastic bag, not fancy but it works just fine, the tea arrived on time, and it wasn't crazy expensive for an organic product. Thumbs up!
