I used this TooTaci 1/8" stainless steel cable wire for a deck railing project, and it exceeded my expectations. Great product and works great!!

My cedar fence gate had developed a sag over time, and I fixed it using this cable and turnbuckle set. The gate post was struggling to hold the weight of the gate on it's own, so the gate was dragging, and hard to latch. I used the cables to connect the gate post to to the wall post, and pulled them tightly together with the turnbuckles. The gate angle is now corrected, so it swings without touching the ground, and latches easily. The cables aren't noticeable from the street, and don't look bad even up close. Very happy with the hardware, and with the purchase. Buyers note: Make sure you have a cable cutter. I forced a pair of tin snips to do the job, but they barely worked.

To small for my job

I needed a cable and turnbuckle set to shore up a sagging gate post. The kit has all the parts you need and simple instructions. The bolt lock stays work well to immobilize the cable… crimping tool not needed. Two issues with installation arose that are not overly problematic. First, the cable is strong and even with a cable cutter somewhat difficult to cut .. leaving frays. I ended up cutting the cable with a Dremel cutting wheel and that did the trick. Second, the openings in the bolted stays are slightly too small to thread the cut cable through once the cable is cut so I had to drill them out just a bit. The turnbuckle itself is quite well made.

I have an 11" gate across my driveway that sags and drags when opening and closing due to poor design of the internal frame. This anti-sag kit was perfect for fixing the issue and keeping my gate off the ground. To use this kit you will need to get a crimper. I also bought sturdier eye bolts to secure to the gate frame and tensioner cable.

The ferrule is wimpy and does not work well. Also, special tools would help.

I used this to cross brace a leaning shed. It worked well and after a couple of years still looks great.
