How long was it before you started noticing improvement to the stretch marks? And how often do you apply it?

Just researched. They do not test on animals HOWEVER, they do not say if any of the ingredients they use were tested on animals by the companies Bio-Oil buys its ingredients from. Guess I bought my last bottle of Bio-Oil. Gave up my beloved Neutrogena because of animal cruelty.

Is this safe during pregnancy and while breastfeeding?

I'm guessing Retinyl palmitate (artificial Vitamin A) is the concern? As far as I know, dietary overdoses of supplemental Vitamin A in pregnancy are dangerous but I can't imagine topical useage would be. (Beta-carotene or natural dietary vitamin A are safe over the recommended daily dosage, but retinols are not. So be careful which prenatal you are taking, what sources of Vit A are used and if you're drinking things like Body Armor or nutrition shakes daily.) For a lotion or oil like this, I don't think it's a concern unless you're using it excessively or getting it in the baby's mouth when breastfeeding.
