I finally figured it out. You know those microfiber cloths the optician gives you for cleaning your glasses? They're fabulous because the weave traps dust and dirt. They're a disaster because thee weave traps dust and dirt. Over time, you are gradually turning it into a piece of sandpaper, unless you throw it in the wash every time you use it. Kimwipes were designed to clean laboratory glassware, where scratches and left behind fibers would be a disaster. I filled a small spray bottle with half alcohol and half water, spray the glasses, wipe with a Kimwipe, no scratches in two years.

Have used the Kimtech wipes for years and am very impressed with their ability to keep the lenses of the glasses and screens that are a part of my life, clean, clear and scratch free. Have tried many others with varied results. None with the consistent dependability of these.

These work very well to clean glasses without scratching.

KimWipes are great for gently cleaning my camera lens. They soak up the lens cleaning solution well and can be softly used on the lens. They will scratch the surface if used with pressure. KimWipes are lint-free and won't leave any fibers behind. These tissue-paper style packs are great because I can use tweezers to pull out the next wipe, keeping my oils off of it. I got a single box and think that I will never go through them all. There are a lot of wipes in each box. The value for your money is great. If you have optical equipment to clean or maintain, KimWipes are an excellent and affordable product that will meet your needs.

I discovered these at the office of my optometrist. I figured if she used them on brand new glasses I’d give them a try. These are inexpensive and I use them daily and nightly to clean my eyeglasses. They are not tissue although they look like tissue. Apparently, they have no paper fiber in them to scratch your lenses so they are safe to use on your glasses, even your new ones. This is my second box and I prefer these over microfiber cloth which needs to be washed frequently to avoid smudges. I just spray cleaner, wipe and wipe again or wash with water and wipe and wipe again, then toss into the trash. I recommend these highly for a smudge free view!

Ich bin durch Zufall auf diese Putztücher gestoßen, einen großen Bekanntsheitsgrad genießen sie nicht. Schade, denn vom Putzergebnis bin ich sehr zufrieden. Die einzelnen Tücher sind sehr fein gearbeitet, zusammen mit einem Reiningsspray (bspw. Pancro Lens Cleaner) erhält man ein nahezu fusselfreies Ergebnis. Da es Einwegtücher sind ist man nicht dazu geneigt den Fehler zu begehen, ein Tuch mehrmals zu verwenden (wie das leider viele Fotografen mit Mikrofasertücher tun) und so Gefahr zu laufen Fette oder grobe Staubkörner auf die Linse zu bringen. Für unterwegs auf Fototouren o.ä. würde ich dagegen bereits angefeuchtete Einwegtücher (bswp. von Zeiss) empfehlen.

The wipes will not scratch my eye glasses when cleaning. Can also use it to clean smartphone or tablet screens with appropriate cleaning solution.
