Good Spindle Gouge

Really useful tool
Well made, steel sharpens well and keeps its edge well. Really useful for small spindle turned items where it’s small size gets into tight curves

Good item but not what I wanted
Arrived well before the predicted date. Well packed in a huge box. Problem is that even though the label says roughing out gouge it describes it's use as 'to scoop out and cut deep U grooves in spindle turning and making holes' and it looks like an 8mm spindle gouge (made from round bar stock with a shallow flute) and not a roughing gouge made from forged flat stock as in the picture on Amazon. I shall be keeping it as it's a good price for a spindle gouge of this size and seems well made with a fingernail profile. I don't know whether it was packaged wrongly or it's use is not appreciated correctly by the importer/supplier.

Für das Geld echt gut. Hatte gleichzeitig ein eisen von "Holzwurm " in Arbeit. Holzwurm sofort stumpf, dieses hielt!

J'ai acheté cette gouge à creuser en tant que débutant du tournage sur bois et je dois dire que je suis très satisfait (toujours en tant que débutant). Elle est arrivée très bien affutée et à l'air de bonne qualité. Donc pour conclure, très bon article, selon moi, pour un débutant et peut-être pour un usage d'amateur averti voire professionnel (mais à eux de la dire). ;)

Es una gubia para torno que mantiene muy bien el filo y es muy manejable. Acero de buena calidad, fácil de afilar. Ideal para el desbaste inicial tanto en piezas grandes, como pequeñas. He comprado dos. Recomiendo el producto.
