  • Printing difficulty: Hard (dry before use, speed 30-60 mm/s).
Nylon is strong, durable, flexible and has low friction. The grade used for this filament is Nylon 6. It's suitable for e.g. cogs. However, Nylon absorbs humidity easily, so it needs to be pre-dried before printing. You can dry it by putting the reel in an oven heated to 70-80 °C for 5-6 hours. As you need to print with high temperature, make sure your print head can handle the heat. Some have plastic linings that get damaged when going over 240 °C. If the printed layers are separating easily, it means your previous layer has cooled down too much by the time you try to print the next one on top. Try eliminating all draft and/or raising the bed/head temperature(s). Thicker layers and faster printing might help also. Make sure there's good ventilation in the workspace to get rid of toxic fumes.
