Husqvarna Viking Huskylock s15 Overlock Machine

I love this machine. Used it last weekend to get a feel of it. Booked to have some tuition locally so hope to be proficient asap. Machine came very quickly which was appreciated. Only had a slight niggle. This was supposed to come with a overlocker pack ie overlocker thread etc. It came with a sewing machine pack which I must say is of absolutely excellent value. I would however have preferred the overlocker thread as I only have the white thread the machine came with. The DVD is very good on how to thread the machine. I've yet to have a go threading the loopers but the needles are ok. I had a Bernette 344 previously which I gave up on because it was so difficult and fiddly; it is hardly used. But now this one is absolutely wonderful. thank you

Took me a while to get to grips with threading it but now I know no problems. It is a very good, well made machine my only criticism is that the foot doesn’t lift up very far, I haven’t tried any thick material but I think it may be a struggle to get it under the foot. Overall very pleased.

Arrived quickly, and I was eager to get going on my first overlocker. Unfortunately, all the instructions were in Italian, and it had a European 2 pin plug so I couldn't use it! Did contact customer services who were pretty good and offered to reimburse me for an adapter. The instruction manual was available online so I downloaded and printed it off. The actual machine, now that I can plug it in, seems good so far although only limited use as I am a beginner on an overlocker. Very straightforward to thread following the colour coding.

I'm really pleased I invested inn this machine, it pretty much glides through all fabrics with ease.

This is my first overlocker. I chose this brand as I already own a Husqvarna sewing machine and I chose this particular model as I feel it offers great flexibility for a reasonable price. As someone who had never used an overlocker before I wanted flexibility (this machine will do 2, 3 or 4 thread serging) as well as ease of use and reliability. I feel I have got everything I need in this machine. An instructional DVD is included which makes threading quite simple. If you have not owned an overlocker before you must remember these are very complicated, very clever machines that were not originally developed for domestic use. Yes they are more tricky to thread than a regular sewing machine however as long as you follow the simple and easy to follow instructions (ensuring you use a good quality thread) you should have no problems. I must say I have not had any of the issues the other reviewer has mentioned; my flat bed extension removes (and is replaced) with ease and of course the front cover is sprung so should always be handled with care! My only criticism would be that the moveable upper cutter is in an awkward place however this is not so detrimental that it would warrant losing a star. To summarise this is a great machine that has a variety of useful features that provides a professional finish to all of your sewing projects. Highly recommended.

I love this overlocker. It works very well. Two years after purchase I still have not needed to replace the knife and I use it almost every week. Even as a beginner, I found it straight forward to thread this machine. The only negative is that the plastic frame attached to the little net that catches the cut off strips of fabric, broke within the first few months and I have not been able to find a replacement. So now I simply tape a plastic bag to the table to catch the cut offs.

War lange auf der Suche nach einer Overlocknähmaschine - habe mir oft die Frage gestellt: braucht man sowas? Die Antwort: Ja - unbedingt, wenn man viel und "professionell" hobbyschneidern möchte. achdem meine 1. Maschine (AEG) ein Reinfall war, habe mir in der Folge sehr viele Rezensionen angeschaut und bin dann bei Husqvarna hängengeblieben, da diese in der selben Produktgruppe wie Pfaff und Singer angesiedelt ist. Die Maschine ist sehr einfach in der Bedienung, die Beschreibung ist übersichtlich und leicht verständlich. Auch das Wechseln der Fäden ist dank der Einfädelübersicht sehr einfach, ebenso wie das "Ausschalten" des Messers. Fazit: ich nähe sehr gerne damit, das Ergebnis ist bisher immer perfekt und möchte sie nicht mehr hergeben. Die Lieferung erfolgte blitzschnell, also auch hier 5*****

Bellissimo modello della Viking huskylock s15. Aspettavo da tanto di comprare una Taglia e cuci e così girando siti su siti online ritornavo sempre qui su amazon, che aveva sempre il prezzo migliore! Si tratta di una macchina casalinga per chi vuole iniziare a cucire e rifinire bene e ha non troppa esperienza.se si è esperte ancora meglio. Come prima di giocare ad un nuovo gioco ho perso un'oretta a leggere le istruzioni e a provare ad infilare i fili, capito il meccanismo, è fatta! Ho iniziato subito a fare delle tende e la sorfilatura, a parer mio, se le tensioni sono corrette, è favolosa. Con 2 aghi, bidoncino, 2-3-4 fili e dvd con la spiegazione dell'infilatura, veramente molto carino. Il rumore è medio, non dico silenziosa, ma neanche fastidiosa, il giusto rumore x degli aghi e fili che si muovono XD. L'unica cosa a cui mi devo abituare è il braccio dove sono posizionati gli aghi, quando devo infilare mi sento parecchio stretta rispetto alla mia bernette 440 lineare! Per il resto ottima qualità e prezzo, consiglio!
