High quality pump
I bought this pump for the Wayne name. I wanted something reliable and well-built and hoped that Wayne still makes nice stuff. The pump was well-packaged and smartly designed. I like the handles and its rubber feet. The float seems durable. I already had a threaded PVC line so I could pretty much screw it in and plug it in. It is quiet and powerful. I haven't had a large storm to really test it, but so far it's solid. It's a good value for the money and Wayne makes good installation videos, too.

Reliable and quiet
Great pump. Operated effectively for 7 years. Retired it for a Liberty. Regret that. Stick with Wagner.

Awesome Value
I get a lot of water in my sump pit. I mean a LOT. I replace my sump pump every 2 years as cheap insurance, and I use a Basement Watchdog battery-powered backup as a fail-safe. I've had this pump for 18 months now. Last night it rained so hard and so long that this pump was only idle for 10 seconds between cycles. For hours. Water was draining into my sump pit so fast that if this pump had failed or if the power had gone out, my Basement Watchdog backup pump could not have pumped the water out fast enough to keep up by itself. (I have a gas generator nearby and a third pump (a smaller utility pump with a garden hose attachment) that I keep as an absolute last resort and fortunately haven't needed to use yet.) This kind of rain happens a couple times a year. And this pump dealt with it and never complained. I'm not going to say it wasn't a stressful night nonetheless, but you get my point. This pump has run for thousands and thousands of cycles over the past 18 months and it's handled all of it. The only thing I don't like is the style of float switch on this pump. I prefer tether switches because they're adjustable, so you can let the water level get higher and have the pump run longer. This would minimize the amount of back-flow that drains back into your pit every time the pump stops. There's no way to add a third-party tether switch either, because the built-in switch is hardwired into the unit's power circuit, rather than using a piggyback cord as I prefer. Oh well; for what this costs, I'm okay with it and I'm not going to take off a star for something I knew about when I bought the pump. Great deal for what this is.

Works well
Have had this for several months and seems to be working great. I live in a wet area and this runs several times daily, its also very quiet. And was super easy to install.

Well made pump
Seems like a well made pump and does its job well. The only thing I will be looking for different in my next pump is a different type of float. I feel like this thing cycles on and off an awful lot because of the design of the float. Instead of being free floating it is attached directly to the side of the pump so the pump runs quite often for really short spurts. Maybe it isn't intended for a place like mine that constantly gets quite a bit of water. Hoping it doesn't drastically reduce the life of the pump, I change out my pump every 5 years to avoid dealing with failures

Great, quiet, well made sump pump. Super impressed.
Bought a twenty year old house and the sump pump in the basement was old and loud, and the float switch was broken. This Wayne pump seems to be well regarded so I ordered it along with a check valve. Keep in mind I've never owned a house with a basement and never touched a sump pump in my life. I cut the PVC leading to the old pump and removed it. Screwed the check valve in, clamped the PVC to it, then joined the PVC pipes with a rubber coupler for easier removal when/if this thing dies. Took me all off ten minutes from start to finish. Turned it on and I could barely hear it running. Float switch works perfectly, sucks up the water super fast too. Very impressed with this pump and I highly recommend it. Only small gripe I have is that I believe it should come with the check valve but that was cheap enough. A+

Received Quickly and Installed Easily - Works Great
I live in Minnesota, USA - a dependable, properly functioning sump pump is critical. My aging existing sump pump failed just as the thaw hit in March 2022, which is terrible timing. This could potentially flood my basement. I did some quick research and found the Wayne CDU800 was highly regarded on the internet, so I ordered it. The price was attractive and it arrived very quickly. It was pretty easy to install - took less than an hour - with basic tools and know-how. The directions were clear and easy to understand. The pump is a simple design, functions properly, and operates almost noiselessly. It gives me real peace-of-mind to have that pump in place, doing itโs thing. I will be using Wayne products as needed moving forward.

Solid pump. Great value!
I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this pump which was a replacement for the cheap sump pump used by the builder of my home 4 years ago. The pump was installed in the base of a walk out basement stairs. It connected to a 1.5" ABS pipe, then to a check valve which then converted to 2" PVC and then went under the concrete stairs up 10' and towards the street 25'. This pump is solid! The floating switch mechanism is seamless and well designed. I tested it several times by filling the bucket up for about an hour with a hose and watched the switch turn the pump on every time. The pump moved a TON of water. It emptied my 50 gallon bucket in about 20 seconds (even while pumping up hill in 2" pipe). The hardest part of the install was priming and gluing all the joints and pipes together so it was all sealed off. After about 2 hours it was installed and ready to go. Don't hesitate to buy this pump. You won't be disappointed!

I have used the tether float system for years , in a narrow pit . This pump offered a VERTICAL FLOAT SYTEM , protected by a Metal wire loop, which will rub FIRST on the pit wall , vs . the float . No brainer , go with the vertical , and DOUBLE BONUS , switch is tested over 500 K times , and the actual float is a replaceable part fitting ALL models of Wayne vertical switches . Must doโs : Elevate the pump with a brick , etc on pit bottom ( 1โ -2โ will work ) And after much collaboration, even Wayne saying No Need , drill a Weep Hole, 3โ up from pump attachment on discharge pipe, below check valve . Yes , the WAYNE PUMP , prevents cavitation, in the pump itself, but not the discharge portion. A really good Pump and proudly assembled in the USA ๐บ๐ธ.

I bought this pump to replace a Simer pump I installed in 1993. I felt it was time. The Wayne pump is easy to install and it worked beautifully when I tested it by filling my sump pit; very quiet. That may be the only time it gets used except for testing occasionally. I live in an area where my weeping tiles drain directly into the sewer system. If the sewer system backs up then the excess water will run into my sump pit. That situation is a rare occurrence but it can happen. The sump pump is basically standing guard in case that happens. It provides peace of mind.

Every couple of years I replace my sump pump to avoid any water issues. Decided to give this one a try and I am not disappointed. The pump is sturdy and easy to install. It concerned me at first since I couldn't hear it running. Checked on it a few times and it was functioning perfect. I will replace it with the same product at the end of the warranty in 3 years. I recommend this sump pump.
