Well Made Ball Catch
This is a well made ball catch to use as a replacement on closet doors. Easy to switch out if you already have pre drilled holes in the door. Instructions are not included so here are some. The ball catch comes with a black metal cover that you remove. There are two slits on each side of the ball. Take needle nose pliers, insert on each side of ball and twist to adjust the height according to how hard you want the door to be able to open. Pop the old ball catch out of door with a flat head screwdriver and put the new one in. The strike plate is included but I just used the old one.

Just finished installing and it looks and works great. Reason for only 4 stars is that it should have had installation instructions. I wasn’t sure what size drill to use for the ball hole. I used a 7/8” bit and guessed right. Also, the description says the ball tension is adjustable, however I read nor saw of any way to make this adjustment. Luckily, the tension was just right without any adjustments. Plate needed to be recessed by 1/8” to make it clear the door. I used a router for this.

Popped right in -- works like it should
Our pantry has doors with these closures and the ball catch kept popping out. These are the standard size and worked immediately. Very well made and a good price.

Great find!
Our pantry doors have these devices on them, and after 10 years they quit working. I looked at the big box hardware stores first, but found that they didn't stock these, and you had to buy online at a higher costs. I took my chances and purchased these, not knowing the quality. When I received them I found the quality better than I expected and very easy to install. I'll buy a second set just to have on hand for family and friends when that time comes.
